Who knew that not wanting to continue being with someone would turn into having a rumor starter about you? Starting to spread lies and getting accused of things you would not do or have ever done. Junior Estefany Abrego reminded us how “none of it was ever true” telling us how everything that was being said was all fake.
Estefany was talking to a guy, leading to events that caused them to stop talking.
She told us how “ After I left him he started to say things about me that were never true” She even said “ He accused me of doing activities under the stairs”.
Luckily she had someone to back her up and not make the rumor worse.
The person that they accused her of doing inappropriate activities with defended her and Estefany said how “ Even the guy that they accused me of doing something with was confused because we never got anywhere near close in that way with each other”.
Her solution to everything was to sit back and observe how he lies to people knowing that it’s all untrue and how he tried to come back to her even after spreading those rumors about her. “I just ignored everything, it never affected me in school because I ignored it” Estefany said. “I knew it wasn’t true so why would I pay it any attention because I know I did not do anything” making sure that she did not let this rumor affect her.
Because of this rumor going around, many more people decided to add onto it and the person who initially started it started believing the things that were being added on and so on.
Estefany said “ He said how he wanted to hurt himself because of me”. She also stated “ after hearing about that he told me how he had meetings with the counselor”.
Coming up to leading events Estefany said “He actually texted me saying how he wanted to get back with me”.
She mentioned how she did not accept that since he did say so much about her. After all, that Estefany said “ He threatened he was going to expose me saying how he had proof of me participating in inappropriate behavior which was not at all true”
Always remember the best option is to stay unbothered and not feed into their lies if you know it’s untrue. Like Estefany said “ It’s best to stay to yourself because these people are weird”.
