Players “keep playing hard” despite losses

With the ball tightly clutched in his hand, quarterback Caleb Weaver, junior, looks for a path through the swath of the offensive and defensive lines clashing. The Falcons suffered a heartbreaking 53-9 loss at the hands of their district opponents Cy Creek. This season, Weaver threw over 2000 passing yards and threw 19 touchdowns. The team concluded the season with an overall record of 4-6 and a record of 3-5 in their district.

Following the high from winning District Champions for the 2018 season, the football team finished their 2019 season with an overall record of 4-6 and a district record of 3-5.

The Falcons began the season with a 20-7 loss to the Alief Hastings Bears, beginning a series of losses for the team. Despite the losses, the players remained hopeful, with the encouragement of the coaches. “Keep playing hard,” was the rallying call the coaches told the players.

The Falcons wrapped up their season with wins against district opponents Spring Branch ISD’s Stratford Spartans and Spring Woods Tigers.
