The student body elected seniors Emerson Garcia and Gisset Romero as Homecoming King and Queen. Both had planned to run since their freshmen year.

“Winning this was a big highlight of my senior year,” Garcia said.

As both were not as confident of winning the campaign, Garcia and Romero were both pushed by friends and family to run.

“As soon as they said my name I asked myself ‘are you sure it’s me?’ but it felt great,” Romero said.

The other six candidates for the titles were seniors Kenny Kachur, Dylan Perez, Noah Aumann, Morghan Gracia, Payton Palori and Kourtney Williams.

The announcement came at halftime during the Homecoming game versus the Cy- Fair Bobcats.

In addition to the King and Queen being elected to the Homecoming Court the faculty elected Virgil Ray as the Grand Marshall of the Homecoming parade.

“I was extremely excited, because I’ve been here for 11 years and it’s nice to be  recognized by my peers as Grand Marshall,” Ray said.
